DoubleClick is a Google brand under which special online marketing solutions are primarily marketed to advertising agencies and publishers. DoubleClick by Google transfers data to the DoubleClick server with every impression as well as with clicks or other activities.

Each of these data transfers triggers a cookie request to the data subject’s browser. If the browser accepts this request, DoubleClick places a cookie in your browser.

DoubleClick uses a cookie ID that is required for the technical process. The cookie ID is required, for example, to display an advertisement in a browser. DoubleClick can also use the cookie ID to record which advertisements have already been displayed in a browser in order to avoid duplication. The cookie ID also enables DoubleClick to record conversions. Conversions are recorded, for example, if a user has previously been shown a DoubleClick advertisement and subsequently makes a purchase on the advertiser’s website using the same Internet browser.

A DoubleClick cookie does not contain any personal data, but may contain additional campaign identifiers. A campaign identifier is used to identify the campaigns with which you have already been in contact on other websites. Social networks and links

We maintain so-called fan pages or accounts or channels on the networks listed below in order to provide you with information and offers within social networks and to offer you further ways to contact us and find out about our offers. In the following, we will inform you which data we or the respective social network process in connection with your accessing and using our fan pages/accounts.

Data that we process from you

If you wish to contact us via Messenger or via Direct Message via the respective social network, we generally process your user name through which you contact us and, if necessary, store other data provided by you insofar as this is necessary to process/answer your request.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR (processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller).

(Static) usage data that we receive from the social networks

We receive automated statistics regarding our accounts via Insights functionalities. The statistics include the total number of page views, likes, information on page activities and post interactions, reach, video views/views and information on the proportion of men/women among our fans/followers.

The statistics only contain aggregated data that cannot be related to individual persons. They are not identifiable to us.

What data the social networks process from you

In order to view the content of our fan pages or accounts, you do not have to be a member of the respective social network and therefore no user account is required for the respective social network.

Please note, however, that the social networks also collect and store data from website visitors without a user account when the respective social network is accessed (e.g. technical data in order to be able to display the website to you) and use cookies and similar technologies, over which we have no influence whatsoever. Details on this can be found in the privacy policy of the respective social network (see the corresponding links above)

If you wish to interact with the content on our fan pages/accounts, e.g. comment on, share or like our posts/contributions and/or wish to contact us via messenger functions, you must first register with the respective social network and provide personal data.

We have no influence on the data processing by the social networks in the context of your use. To the best of our knowledge, your data is stored and processed in particular in connection with the provision of the services of the respective social network, as well as for the analysis of user behavior (using cookies, pixels/web beacons and similar technologies) on the basis of which advertising based on your interests is displayed both within and outside the respective social network. It cannot be ruled out that your data will also be stored by the social networks outside the EU/EEA and passed on to third parties.

Information on, among other things, the exact scope and purposes of the processing of your personal data, the storage period/deletion and guidelines on the use of cookies and similar technologies in the context of registration and use of social networks can be found in the data protection provisions/cookie guidelines of the social networks. There you will also find information on your rights and options to object.

Tracking Proxy

To ensure the lawful use of tracking services such as analysis and marketing services, we use the tracking proxy solution of Tracking Garden GmbH (Ritterfelddamm 225e, 14089 Berlin, Germany). With the help of the tracking proxy solution, we can avoid direct access to users’ end devices by the third-party providers we use and ensure complete control over individual data parameters when communicating with websites by restricting access for third-party providers and setting conditions for the transfer of data to third-party providers. For these purposes, we use so-called cookies and browser fingerprinting procedures, which are stored on your end device by the tracking proxy for recognition and can process information from your end device. For this purpose, your end device is assigned an identification number (cookie ID/device ID) randomly generated by the tracking proxy.

With the help of the tracking proxy, we process the information generated about the use of our website by your end device as well as access data for the purpose of statistical analysis and range measurement – e.g. access to a specific web page, number of unique visitors, entry and exit pages, length of stay, click, swipe and scroll behavior, activation of buttons, bounce rate and similar interactions made by users on our website (events), e.g. whether a newsletter registration has taken place or a product has been placed in the shopping cart or purchased. The access data includes, in particular, browser and device information, cookie ID of the tracking proxy and the date and time of the server request. Your data is processed by the tracking proxy exclusively on servers in Germany.

Your IP address is not stored (or in a configuration variant only as a SHA256-encrypted value on our servers). The IP address is not passed on to third-party providers without user consent, but only general location information such as the region and city of the location of the end device is recorded, which is previously derived from the IP address. Due to the tracking proxy solution, further user data for the analysis and range measurement of usage behavior on our website is transmitted to third-party providers in exclusively pseudonymous form. To ensure effective pseudonymization, the tracking proxy creates artificially generated data parameters for the browser identifier (user agent), for the third-party provider’s cookie IDs, for any order numbers and for other browser and device information that would enable re-identification. The storage period of the tracking proxy cookie for recognizing users’ end devices is a maximum of 24 months.

Facebook, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025 also processes some of the data in the USA. There is no adequacy decision by the EU Commission for data transfer to the USA. You can object to the processing. You have the right to object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can exercise your objection by clicking on the opt-out link.
