Five years in a row: ADEN Immobilien named “Top Company” on Kununu

We’re genuinely proud: ADEN Immobilien has once again been recognized as a Top Company on Kununu – for the fifth consecutive year. With a score of 4.9 out of 5 points and a 100 % recommendation rate, we are among the highest-rated real estate employers in Germany.

What this recognition really means

These awards are based entirely on anonymous employee reviews – not on marketing claims. They reflect how our team actually experiences ADEN Immobilien every day: collaboration, trust, and shared values.

Maintaining a 4.9-rating over five years doesn’t happen by chance. It’s the result of a culture built on honesty, respect, reliability, and genuine teamwork. At ADEN Immobilien, team isn’t a slogan – it’s how we work.

Standing strong – even in challenging times

The past few years have tested the entire real-estate industry. Rising interest rates, changing policies, and economic uncertainty have challenged everyone. But what carried us through was our sense of unity.

When things get tough, our team steps up, supports each other, and finds solutions together. That’s what keeps us moving forward – and what makes us proudest.

Recognition inside and out

Positive client reviews show that we deliver strong results on the market. But these Kununu awards show that we’re also doing things right on the inside – as an employer and as a community.

Satisfied employees create satisfied clients. That’s what long-term success in real estate is really about.

Thank you to our team

Five consecutive awards are more than a milestone – they’re proof of a shared mindset. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who contributes to ADEN Immobilien every single day. This success belongs to all of you.

Thank you for being the reason behind our 4.9 stars.

Booming Berlin – property prices continue to rise

As the year got under way, the major research institutes and departments, assessors associations, statisticians and market observers published their figures relating to Germany’s property market. The results are illuminating and provide insight into potential future developments. This year, the trend is once again clear: property prices are continuing to rise across the board – though less dynamically than before.

Berlin – a city of possibilities Berlin is a modern, dynamic metropolis with international pulling power. The break-neck pace of development here over the past three decades is reflected in the diametric contrast of challenges […]

PropTech – digital innovations that also benefit private landlords

PropTech is short for ‘Property Technology’, i.e. digital technology for the property sector. The term is most commonly used in relation to start-ups developing digital products and services for every conceivable process within the property sector. A broad field. To date, however, PropTech remains relatively unknown among private landlords in Germany. And yet they too stand to benefit tremendously from intelligent and innovative digital solutions.

Although the German property sector was initially slow to embrace digitalisation, large housing associations, institutional investors and product developers are now keen users of these innovations developed by PropTech companies. The main reasons for using […]

Residual Useful Life Assessment: 16-Year vs 50-Year AfA

Residual Useful Life Assessment – Realistic Depreciation Instead of Flat Rates

For rented properties, depreciation for wear and tear (AfA) plays a central role in ongoing returns. Often, however, depreciation is calculated as a flat rate over a fixed period of use, without taking the actual condition of the building into account. Particularly in cities with many old buildings (e.g., Berlin), the flat 50-year depreciation can deviate significantly from reality. A residual useful life assessment makes it possible in such cases to adapt the depreciation to the actual economic useful life of the building – provided certain requirements are met. The following sections explain the basics, provide practical examples, and answer frequently asked questions.

What is a Residual Useful Life Assessment? A residual useful life assessment estimates how long a building can still be used economically from today’s perspective. It is not a market value or purchase price assessment, […]
